Kira is born and raised among thoroughbred racehorses in Denmark. At the University of Copenhagen she turned her passion into a veterinary degree in 2015.

After graduation she spent one year at the surgical department of Hagyard Equine hospital. In 2017 she started an internship with us at Equine Hospital De Morette. Thereafter she returned for 2 years to the University of Copenhagen.

We were very happy when she returned to us in March 2020 to further optimise her skills with a European training program (residency) in Equine surgery and become a European recognised surgeon. Her focus is on equine surgery, emergencies and orthopedics.
